Born in Cologne in 1964, his musical talent did not remain hidden for long. He received his first piano lessons at the age of 7 and his first organ lessons at the age of 12. Soon afterwards he played as a substitute at church services in his home community.


After graduating from school, he studied at the College of Church Music in Aachen with a degree in organ, piano and composition under

Prof. Michael Reudenbach

Prof. Hubert Schoonbroodt.

Multiple times Participation in the international organ summer courses at Steinfeld Monastery under his direction.

Further training in the areas of youth music and music education.


His work as an organist, cantor, music educator and music teacher also took him to Chemnitz in 1991, where he applied for the position of cantor in the Markusgemeinde. 1992 Founding of the support association for the

Renovation of St. Markus Church.

The neo-Gothic hall church from 1895 had been closed for years due to its dilapidation. Under his chairmanship, concerts and charity events were organized to benefit the construction project.

He promoted cooperation with the choir of the neighboring community of St. Josef and revived ecumenism on the Sonnenberg.


1997 student at theGerman Hahnemann School, today 

BDN Academy of Naturopathy. 

2001 qualified as a naturopath. Subsequent work in his own practice in Hellenthal in the Eifel.

Since 2020 he has been working as a composer for contemporary piano music.


As a synesthetic reaction to the piano pieces “Elegies”, the series of pictures “Reflection” was created by the painter and graphic artist Karsten Mittag and presented in 2023 in his summer gallery “sinfonico” in Augustusburg.

The Chemnitz pianist Jeffrey Goldberg presented excerpts from the musical work.
